Our production facility in Arques, in northern France, has been combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative glass solutions since 1825. Crystal or high-quality glass guarantees absolute transparency and purity, essential for fully appreciating the clarity, colours and nuances of your drinks. Whether you’re looking for classic or contemporary designs, our glassware is designed to suit all tastes and decorative styles, from the most traditional to the most avant-garde.

Easy to maintain on a daily basis.

Designed for everyday use, most of our glasses are dishwasher-safe, allowing you to enjoy their elegance without any hassle. To preserve the shine and clarity of your glasses over time, we recommend a few simple steps: Open the dishwasher door as soon as the cycle has finished to prevent limescale build-up. Use a low-temperature programme. Store your glasses without stacking them. For optimal care of your crystal glasses, hand washing with a soft cloth remains ideal, preserving their original shine year after year.

The history and expertise of Verrerie Arc France

From Cristallerie d'Arques to Arc International: it was in the early 1820s, specifically in 1825, that the Verrerie Cristallerie d'Arques was founded. This small family business, established by the Durand family, gradually established itself as an industrial flagship of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. Over the decades, its expertise and glassmaking know-how were refined, enabling the company to gain international recognition. In 1948, the Luminarc brand was created, marking the start of a strategy to diversify its product ranges. The year 1968 marked a major turning point with the launch of the iconic Cristal d’Arques brand, the result of a technical innovation enabling the automated production of crystal stemware. It was finally in 2000 that the company adopted the name Arc International, reflecting its global ambition. Based in the north of France, in Arques within the Pays de Saint-Omer conurbation, the Arques glassworks is a major economic pillar for the entire region. The historic site, which has continued to expand over the decades, is now the world’s largest glass production site for tableware. The company has always played a leading role in the local economy, employing entire generations of families. In 2025, despite economic fluctuations and changes in the industrial landscape, the site employs nearly 4,000 people.

Manufacturing: innovation and sustainability at the heart of Arc glass
